SUCCESS STORIES

Discover how Triangle Concierge has helped young businesses just starting out make their dreams come true!

Triangle Concierge gets so many people who are just starting out that we thought it would be nice to feature some businesses who have made it in the industry. I do hope these stories inspire you and encourage you to never give up on your dream!!!

If you have a story you would like to share in this space, please email it to Katharine at kgiovanni@triangleconcierge.com. The piece should be in 500 words or less. If you want us to print your name, company or website just let us know. Also, please put "success story" in the subject line so I know it's for this page on our site.

Hello. I wanted to take this time to personally thank you for writing such an amazing Concierge reference book. My brother, Joseph Cummins, was in contact with you back in 2006, and you were able to provide him with some great insight and inspiration to help him start his own concierge business. In 2008, I joined the company, and together, Joe and I have given Helping Hand Concierge, LLC a wonderful face-lift.. We have updated our marketing tools, plus website (www.helpinghandconciergellc.com), which has been an exciting journey. Thank you again for your inspiration and guidance...

Laura M. Cummins, Personal and Corporate Concierge Specialist, Helping Hand Concierge, LLC.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Triangle Concierge. I spent 20 years as an executive assistant in the legal and medical communities and finally decided that if I applied my educational and practical experience to building my own business I would be very successful.  Well, fast forward almost two years and I am extremely happy to state that with Triangle's incredible resources and a lot of tenacity, I have been able to achieve my dreams of business success.  Your books, seminars and motivation are the main components necessary to succeed in our industry.  Initially, I purchased another "concierge how to" book and was, fortunately, given your guide as a gift and I must admit it was one of the best gifts I have received.  I will never be able to thank you enough for assisting me in achieving my dreams.  With your leadership and resources, I know that ExecuStaff will continue to thrive.  Anyone who is thinking of starting/expanding a concierge/virtual assisting business must take the time to study your methods.  You have the proven skill set to put anyone considering joining this industry on the path to success.  Triangle Concierge proves that even in our current economy, our services are not only needed but absolutely necessary and welcome.  Thank you Katherine and Ron for making ExecuStaff the success it is today!!!  You are an undeniable asset to our industry.  Keep up the great work.  We wouldn't be where we are today without your leadership.

"You do too many things and you lack focus" was the sobering assessment that a head hunter shared with me at the beginning of 2007 when I found myself in an interesting life situation: facing a divorce. I left the corporate world a couple of years ago (trying to save my marriage) and I had no plan for what I wanted to do with the next 40 years of my life.

Onto this fertile ground of life planning plummeted comments from my girl friends that they envied me because I had so much time and that was what they were missing most in their lives!  So the idea of a Concierge and Personal Assistant business was born.  As with every new business the ground had to be prepared: I created a web page, read books, created business cards and then I was ready to go out there and find some clients.

Here is what I learned:

  1. There is a huge need for our services. People are willing to pay for having extra time and things taking care off in their lives.

  2. Find out what you love to do and offer those services – I love to cook so we offer personal meals for our clients.

  3. Talk to other business owners – find out what works for them and modify it to fit your own style.

  4. Contact local papers and let them know about what you do. That is exactly how this article came about: http://www.scottsdaleairpark.com/business_news.php#BN335

  5. Love what you do and it will be rewarding beyond the financial benefits.

Now towards the end of this year of amazing change, my business is thriving (I have as much work as I wanted to have at this stage in my business), I am happier than I have been in a long time in my life and I see this huge potential ahead of me.

Just last week I received a “thank you” email from my client that brought tears to my eyes…

"Purpose is the place where your deep gladness meets the world's needs." Frederick Buechner

I found my purpose in making a difference in people’s lives.

Hi Katharine and Ron,

I just wanted to say thanks to both of you for everything you are doing to get the word out about the Concierge industry.

I am so excited, honored and speechless after last night that I still can't believe this is happening to me.. Last night, I was honored by ATLANTA LEGENDS BALL.  This is an organization that was created in Atlanta last year as a result of Oprah Winfrey's Legends Ball where Oprah honored 50 successful women...  The first event was held last year in Atlanta and the Mayor of Atlanta, Shirley Franklin and was honored.  The event was very well attended.

Well, one of my clients nominated me and my company, Xtra Pair of Hands, and after a year of interviews, I was chosen to be one of 5 young women making a difference in Atlanta.  What an honor!!!!!

The entire event was beautiful. There was the red carpet and VIP section.  When I walked into the room everyone knew about me and my company.  I was very, very honored.  Actors from the Atlanta Theatre performed a play about the 5 companies being honored and all through the show Xtra Pair of Hands was mentioned... I sat there with tears in my eyes.  It was so surreal......

Just wanted to share this wonderful moment with you guys and to say once again, THANK YOU for making this a wonderful industry to be a part of.

Keep up the good work in educating the public.

Almost 1 year ago I purchased your Concierge Manual. I was a little afraid due to living in such a small area that does not really know about concierge services. So I took the list of ways to market your business. I picked the top ten I thought would work in my area. To my surprise my business was spotlight business today in our local newspaper. It has a front page full article on the business and my services. Not to mention a picture of me and one of my vehicles. Though this is small to some people. My business currently is part time if  the word continues to grow I can finally do it full time. I advise anyone to start out slow and the business will follow you.  I mean people are actually calling though small things on the list to promote the business that have a big impact on your marketing. Keep educating people through your book & workshops the information really does help small companies like mine.
